Privacy
Plain language, no dark patterns. This explains what the helperly.org website does with information. Last updated July 3, 2026.
The short version
- We don't sell your data.
- We only collect what you choose to send us through a form.
- Free versions of our apps may show minimal ads (Google AdMob); this website shows none. Subscribing removes ads and supports our mission.
What we collect
Messages you send. When you use the support, suggestion, waitlist, or donation-interest forms, we receive what you type — which may include your name and email if you provide them. These are stored as tracked tickets with our hosting provider (Cloudflare), and a notification copy is delivered to us by our email provider, Resend, so we can respond and follow up.
Spam protection. Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-respecting alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs. It helps us tell humans from bots without profiling you across the web. Cloudflare processes these checks under its privacy policy.
Basic, privacy-respecting analytics. We use PostHog to understand which pages are useful. It is configured to minimize personal data: no analytics cookies today, no session recording, no cross-site tracking, and it honours your browser's "Do Not Track" setting. Analytics data is collected through our own domain, is never sold, and is never used for ads.
Cookies. Strictly necessary, operational cookies may be set by our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) — for example during a Turnstile spam check — to keep the site secure and working. If we ever use cookies for analytics or other purposes, we'll update this page first.
Server logs. Like all websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request information (such as IP address and timestamp) briefly, to keep the site secure and reliable.
About the apps and other services. This page covers the helperly.org website. Our apps and services have their own, more detailed privacy policy — including which products keep everything on your device and which need to store some information (like an account) to work. Free versions may show ads through Google AdMob, which applies its own ad technology. We keep ads to a minimum, and we're sorry for the ones we do show — they're necessary to cover some of our operating costs; an optional paid upgrade removes ads and directly supports our mission. helperly.org itself does not sell your data.
What we don't do
- No selling or renting of personal information.
- No hidden mailing-list sign-ups — you opt in explicitly.
How long we keep things
We keep ticket and contact information only as long as needed to help you and to keep records of suggestions and requests. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the support form and we'll take care of it.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
